FAQs

🛋️ What Should I Expect During My First Session(s)?

Your first few sessions are all about getting to know your therapist and making sure it feels like a good fit. You’ll likely be asked about your background, what brought you to therapy, and what goals you have. It’s also a chance to learn more about how therapy works and collaborate on a treatment plan.

If it turns out that your therapist isn’t the right match, no worries—you’ll be offered trusted referrals to help you find the right fit.

💡 Do You Accept Insurance?

At this time, we are not in-network with any insurance providers. Most of our clients choose to pay privately because it allows for faster access to care, greater privacy, and the freedom to work with a highly qualified therapist without needing a formal diagnosis.

We are exploring partnerships that may allow for insurance reimbursement in the future. If you'd like to be notified when that becomes available, feel free to reach out and we’ll keep you in the loop.

🌱 Is Therapy Right for Me/Us?

If you’re looking to make a meaningful change in your life, the short answer is yes. Therapy is a powerful tool for anyone who wants to improve their well-being, strengthen relationships, or simply understand themselves better.

There are many factors that contribute to successful therapy—but the most important one is you. It takes courage, commitment, and vulnerability to grow. If you’re ready to explore what’s holding you back and move toward a healthier, more connected life—we’re here when you are.

If you’d like to get scheduled, we’re happy to help you find a time that works.

📍 Where Are You Located?

Hello Calm is located at 2520 St. Rose Pkwy, Suite 214 in Henderson, Nevada.

You’ll find us conveniently right off the 215 at St. Rose Parkway.

💵 What Are Your Rates?

Our rates range up to $150 for a standard 50-minute session.

Our priority is making sure you get the support you need. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to talk with your clinician—we’re happy to explore options and see what accommodations can be made.

💑 Do We Need to Be Married for Couples Counseling?

Not at all. Couples counseling is for any two people in a relationship who want to improve communication, connection, or navigate challenges together.

Whether you’re dating, engaged, married, or somewhere in between—we’re here to support your relationship.

🗣️ What’s the Difference Between Talking to a Therapist and Talking to a Friend?

While friends and family can be incredibly supportive, therapy offers something different. Therapists undergo years of training in evidence-based practices to help you navigate challenges with skill, care, and objectivity.

Unlike friends or loved ones, your therapist is an unbiased, outside perspective—someone who’s focused entirely on you. Therapy creates a dedicated space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals without judgment or interruption.

And most importantly: your privacy is protected. Confidentiality is a core part of therapy, which means what you share stays between you and your therapist.

🕒 What If I’m Running Late to My Appointment?

Your appointment time is set aside just for you. If you’re running late, we’ll begin your session as soon as you arrive and use the remaining time.

We always want you to get the most out of your sessions, so arriving on time helps make the most of our work together.

⏰ What If I Need to Cancel My Appointment?

We get it—life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we just ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a late cancellation fee equal to the cost of your session.

📆 How Often Should We Meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions, which helps build momentum and trust early on. Over time, you and your therapist may decide to meet more or less often depending on your progress, goals, and needs.

It’s a flexible process—and your therapist will work with you to find the rhythm that feels right.

💊 Do You Prescribe Medication?

We don’t prescribe medication. While our therapists can diagnose mental health conditions using the DSM-5, we are not medical providers.

If medication might be helpful, we’re happy to refer you to a trusted psychiatrist and collaborate with them to make sure your care is well-coordinated and fully supported.
