Therapist Job Description

Hello Calm is a private, outpatient mental health practice, comprised of a community of helping professionals working to enhance the mental well-being of our clinicians, our clients, and our communities. We take great care for the comfort and well-being of our staff, as we believe the best way to care for our clients is to ensure our staff are happy and healthy.

We are looking for a therapist who will provide outpatient mental health therapy to individuals and couples/family therapy to patients of Hello Calm. Clinical therapy services include the treatment of adults, adolescents, children, couples, and/or families.

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Establishes positive, trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.

• Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.

• Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.

• Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.

• Involves and advises family members when appropriate.

• Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.

• Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.

• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.

• Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Employment and Compensation:

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position. We ask that clinicians (eventually) hold a minimum of 20 hours per week. Your schedule may be flexible to your preference contingent on the office space we have available. Compensation for this position averages $60 per session.

• Ability to build rapport quickly

• Detail oriented

• Ability to communicate with compassion and empathy

• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field

• Current with all state licensing requirements (CPC, MFT, LCSW, etc). Pre-licensed interns are welcome to apply.

• Proven experience helping clients heal and become more whole.
