Darby Sams
Psychotherapist, MFT-I
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and even a little like sitting down with a friend over coffee. In our time together, we’ll talk through the different parts of your story—your past experiences, your current challenges, and your hopes for the future—while exploring new ways to approach the chapters ahead.
I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and teens. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people from many different walks of life, including those navigating chronic illness, disability, adoption, identity questions, and nontraditional relationships. No matter what brings you in, my approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and compassion, with room for humor and real, down-to-earth conversations.
Therapy with me isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about gaining insight, building resilience, and discovering practical steps toward change. My hope is that every client leaves with tools for today and the confidence to keep writing their own story long after our work together is done.
“You’ve already survived chapters you thought you couldn’t. That means you carry strength into the next page.”
