Using Mentaya for Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement
Hello Calm is an out-of-network therapy practice, which means sessions are paid out-of-pocket. Some clients choose to use their out-of-network insurance benefits to receive partial reimbursement after their sessions.
We partner with Mentaya, a service that helps handle the insurance paperwork for you.
Below are answers to common questions about how this works.
-
Mentaya is a service that submits insurance claims on your behalf so you may be reimbursed for therapy sessions.
Instead of filling out insurance forms yourself, Mentaya handles the claim submission and communication with your insurance company.
-
The process is simple:
You pay Hello Calm for your session as usual.
Mentaya submits a claim to your insurance company for a fee of $9.25 per session.
If your insurance plan reimburses out-of-network therapy, the insurance company sends reimbursement directly to you.
-
That depends on your insurance plan.
Some plans include out-of-network mental health benefits, while others do not.
If your plan includes out-of-network coverage, insurance may reimburse a percentage of the session after your deductible has been met.
