what is anxiety?
If you have found this page, chances are you don’t need to ask “What is anxiety?” Anxiety can take many different forms, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, trauma-related and much more. It may feel like intense fear, terror, panic, or dread. It can make your pulse race, your heart hurt, your chest tight, and even make it difficult to breathe. Some times you may sweat and feel tingling in your body. You may have racing thoughts and really troubling thoughts and worries that won't seem to go away, no matter what you try.
about anxiety
Anxiety is perhaps one of the most common issues for which individuals seek out mental health treatment. While anxiety can be a natural and healthy part of the human experience, anxiety can often run out of control, threatening a person’s sense of peace and safety. People that experience anxiety often feel as if they are unable to "turn off" the worry or nervousness that they endure on a daily basis.

what is depression?
Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think, and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease a person’s ability to function at work or at home.
about depression
Most people feel depressed at some point in their lives. Losing a loved one, getting fired from a job, going through a divorce, and other difficult situations can cause a person to feel sad, frustrated, lonely, scared, nervous, or anxious. These feelings are normal reactions to life’s stress. But in some cases, you may experience these feelings daily or nearly daily, sometimes for no apparent reason, making it difficult to carry on with normal, everyday functioning.
The good news is that depression is very treatable, either on its own or when paired with anxiety. At Hello Therapy, our therapists help to effectively treat depression through the use of many evidence-based psychological practices and the forming of a safe and compassionate therapeutic relationship. It can be difficult and painful to work on these feelings, but rest assured that it is done in a warm, welcoming, and non-judgemental environment to help find ways to work on these symptoms and improve your overall quality of life.
